Power, Pride and Progress

  • CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP Cannon Place, 78 Cannon Street London, England, EC4N 6AF United Kingdom (map)

The 2025 Black History Month theme is “Standing Firm in Power and Pride”.

The CMS embRACE Network are back to bring you our annual flagship event, but this year with a special guest!

We are thrilled to be joined by Baroness Floella Benjamin, who is an award-winning presenter, author, and advocate for children’s rights and social mobility, whose trailblazing career spans decades - from beloved children’s television presenter to life peer in the House of Lords, Chair of BAFTA – Television, Chancellor of the University of Exeter, and Chair of the Windrush Commemoration Committee (to name just a few!)

In this inspiring session, Baroness Benjamin will reflect on how she has stood firm in her identity and values throughout her life and offer practical inspiration on how we can all use our power and privilege to be allies, role models, and changemakers.

Expect an engaging experience, with opportunities to participate from your local CMS office, followed by a networking reception with African and Caribbean inspired food.
