Veterans in the Square Mile is a new City Belonging Network, bringing together veterans and reservists from workplaces across the Square Mile.

This is part of a wider family of City Belonging Networks launched as part of Lord Mayor Alastair King’s mayoral year, and in collaboration with City Veterans CIC. This network brings together veterans and reservists at Square Mile workplaces to:

  • Create and promote opportunities for the community to meet one another through events and activities, and feel a sense of belonging.

  • Support the City of London Corporation and other City institutions to be the best possible ally to the community.

  • Promote engagement from the veteran and reservist community in the civic and cultural life of the Square Mile.

Creating an Armed Forces Inclusive Workplace

The Veterans in the Square Mile network, supported by M&G plc and Bank of New York, invites you to an evening exploring how the City can create more inclusive workplaces for veterans and reservists.

This panel discussion will feature industry leaders from M&G, Bank of New York and the City Belonging Network, who will share their perspectives on recognising the unique skills and experiences of those who have served, and on fostering a culture that enables veterans to thrive in civilian careers.

The programme will open with remarks from the Lady Mayoress before moving into a panel discussion and audience Q&A. The evening will conclude with networking over drinks and canapés in M&G’s Winter Garden, offering the opportunity to connect with colleagues and peers from across the Square Mile who are committed to advancing inclusion.

Attendance is free, but space is limited. Places will be confirmed one week before the event.

This event is invitation only and places are strictly limited. We will send out formal invitations to those nominated, dependent on capacity.
