TALK: “Does being from a minority background influence hiring decisions and career progression more than merit?”

  • WTW 51 Lime Street London, England, EC3M 7DQ United Kingdom (map)

Join #TalkAboutBlack in partnership with professional network Young Diverse World Changers (YDWC) for a dynamic debate posing a challenging question, “Does being from a minority background influence hiring decisions and career progression more than merit?”

Date: Thursday 19th October
Time: 5:00PM-7:00PM followed by exclusive networking opportunity from 7:00PM-8:30PM. Places limited.
Venue: WTW, 51 Lime Street, London EC3M 7DQ

With speakers arguing both sides of the proposition, prepare for a thought-provoking evening, as we question the reality of workplace meritocracy for those from diverse backgrounds. #TalkAboutBlack exists to build a pipeline of Black industry leaders. We utilise a combination of mentoring, reverse mentoring, education, thought leadership and public speaking to increase the opportunities for Black people and Black professionals: and to challenge the structures that inhibit progression.
