The AMT Youth programme supports young people aged 16-18 to gain experience, opportunities, and resources in the creative industries. The programme aims to illustrate the breadth of opportunity across the creative industries. It aims to give young creatives confidence and understanding, as well as introduce them to a network of (industry) professionals to help drive their talent and passion.The programme prioritises young people from African and Caribbean descent, based in South East London.

RenRe has supported the AMTYP since its launch in 2020 and this year’s collaboration with AMTYP and Abi Ola was born from a wish to continue to mark Black History Month with a celebration of Black achievements in the arts.
Abi Ola is a highly acclaimed graduate of The Royal Drawing School, Goldsmiths and The Slade School of Fine Art. Specialising in painting, drawing, screen printing, collaging, batik, and textiles, Abi Ola's artwork focuses on shapes and patterns. Taking inspiration from old photographs, fabrics, and experiences, she creates art to explore identity, being West African, and living in Britain. Her patterns go beyond two dimensional paintings, finding their way onto the interior design of buildings, clothes, and skin. Her creative intentions are to completely envelop herself and the viewer within her world of patterns.
