Celebrate Pride Month with an evening of free entertainment in one of the most important queer venues in the UK
The Bishopsgate Institute holds one of the largest - possibly the very largest - collections of LGBTQIA+ archives in the UK. All their archives document the stories of extraordinary ordinary people, including the remarkable individuals and organisations who have strived for social, political, and cultural change.
In addition, the institute are proud to partner with community organisations and groups to host regular social activities and events. DJ Charles Chan (of the Pink Jukebox) will provide the soundtrack for this celebration in which the last hour will turn into a dance floor.
Attendees will be invited on short tours to introduce the collections, and you can come back any time to dig more deeply for free and with no appointment.
If you have never been inside the Institute building before, but have walked past a hundred times, come in and see for yourself what goes on behind the ornate arch and turrets.
Time: Monday June 8, 6—9pm
Tickets: Reserving a ticket is free, but must be done in advance before May 15.
