Saturday 9th November • 11:00 to 15:00 - Mansion House, City of London
Lady Mayor’s Show
Your network’s chance to join the parade.
Last year, for the first time in its 800 year history, ERGs and diversity networks in the Square Mile joined the Lord Mayor’s Show, as part of the City Belonging Project. This year, Dame Susan Langley will be the first person to take the title of Lady Mayor - and we’re excited to join her parade.
The Show is one of the nation's most spectacular events involving some 6,500 participants, 70 floats, 20 military and civilian bands, business floats, community groups and charities, together with dozens of horses and carriages, and the magnificent Gold State Coach. The Lord Mayor’s Show brings the whole community of the City together to cheer on those taking part, and is televised live on the BBC.
At the City of London Corporation, we’re delighted to have the opportunity to showcase the incredible diversity of the Square Mile by having 100 representatives of ERGs and staff networks across the Square Mile. Each network can nominate two people, with a £50 fee per person to cover the entry fee and placard printing. We will then be in touch with those successfully nominated with logistical information, as well as holding a briefing. A packed lunch will be provided.
