Being Muslim in the City: Identity, Inclusion and Impact
City of London Corporation will be partnering with Amazon to host our upcoming City Muslim Network event. This event aims to portray the unique experiences and perspectives of Muslim professionals who are shaping the Square Mile. This includes the ways in which faith based values in the corporate workplace can enhance leadership, drive innovation and maximise the City’s success.
The event will address topics pertaining to the speakers’ professional journeys and the ways in which their Muslim identity has impacted it. We will also discuss what workplace inclusion and allyship looks like, and how building networks and communities can alleviate these corporate issues. The discussion will conclude with deliberations around what the future for Muslim workers will look like, as well as advice for younger Muslim employees in the Square Mile.

During the eve of Tisha B’av, the service will include a reading of Eichah at 10:30pm with the sound of ancient and sombre melodies.
The next day will include an early morning Shahrit with Kinot at 9am, as well as a very special guest Chazan from Amsterdam, Nachshon Rodrigues Pereira, who will be leading the congregation later in the afternoon.
