Tisha B’Ab: Bevis Marks Synagogue
Ahead of Tisha B’av, the renowned Bevis Marks synagogue will be hosting a unique service for the 24-hour fasting event. The ceremony, which will be called Tisha B’eav, will reflect the sad day of mourning in the Jewish calendar with the synagogue draped in black and illuminated with candle lights. During the eve of Tisha B’av, the service will include a reading of Eichah at 10:30pm with the sound of ancient and sombre melodies.
The next day will include an early morning Shahrit with Kinot at 9am, as well as a very special guest Chazan from Amsterdam, Nachshon Rodrigues Pereira, who will be leading the congregation later in the afternoon.
Please join us for this day of mourning and commemoration.
