Black Excellence in Governance Awards (BEGA) is a Black History Month initiative celebrating Black excellence and our contribution to governance, and the role Black Corporate Governance professionals play in advising the boards of some of the biggest organisations in the UK, FTSE, Public, Private and not for profit organisations.

BEGA does these, with three connected strands:

• Awards: Recognising outstanding Black professionals and organisations making a contribution to governance.

• Access: Providing bursaries to help increase access to governance education, opportunities and professional development.

• Development: On the Rise Cohorts, supporting emerging Black governance professionals through development, community and exposure to experienced leaders.

Together, BEGA celebrates excellence, creates access and develops the next generation of governance leaders.
