WALK: Black History in the City of London

  • City Thameslink Station 65 Ludgate Hill London, England, EC4M 7JH United Kingdom (map)

A free guided walk by City of London Guides in partnership with the City of London Corporation to mark Black History Month.

Uncover some of the Black history of the Square Mile through the ages which we hope will shine a light on some whose history has been hidden or invisible.

We'll hear about slavery- the people who benefitted, experiences of people who were enslaved and about abolitionists who fought to end the 'trade'. There will also be writers, musicians , art and two very special 'Kings.'

Explore with an official City of London Guide on one of these six evening tours starting on October 10th.

The tour is free but places must be booked in advance. We aim to make our tours as accessible as possible but there are some uneven surfaces.

Book spots for your and your colleagues on Eventbrite.
