Flag Raising Ceremony and Reception

To mark Armed Forces Day, flags will be raised on a variety of buildings nationwide to involve the nation in showing their support for, and to raise awareness of, the Armed Forces.

To mark this event and to show support for our Armed Forces, the City of London Corporation will be hosting its annual Armed Forces Flag Raising Ceremony. Guests will assemble in Guildhall Yard from 3:15 pm, where a military band will be playing and a parade taking place. The official flag will be raised followed by short speeches by the Lord Mayor and a senior member of the Armed Forces. Following the ceremony, a light afternoon tea will be served in Guildhall.

There are a limited number of spaces available for members of the Veterans in the Square Mile network. A formal invitation will follow if your application for a space has been successful.
