Adrian Bethune – Founder, Teachappy
Adrian is the founder of Teachappy which teaches happiness and wellbeing to primary school children and teachers.
He is the lead author for Oxford University Press’ International Wellbeing Curriculum, deputy chair of the strategic board for Well Schools and an associate lecturer at Oxford Brookes University.
Adrian is Wellbeing Governor at Broughton Community Schools, and wrote Wellbeing in the Primary Classroom – A Practical Guide to Teaching Happiness. He is the co-author of A Little Guide to Teaching Wellbeing and Self Care
Rhia Gibbs – Founding Director and CEO, Black Teachers Connect and former secondary headteacher
Rhia is an educational consultant and works alongside schoolteachers and leaders to help them navigate issues around racism, bias and microaggressions and how to create truly diverse spaces where everyone can thrive. Rhia established Black Teachers Connect to bring together Black Teachers in the UK and worldwide by providing them with network opportunities, advice, and support.
She is a former Teacher of Sociology and Criminology at a school in London and Head of Year 12. She has a background in Youth Work and has a great deal of experience working with children.
Annisha Taylor – BBC Nations Inclusion and Diversity Lead; School Governor
Annisha is the Lead for BBC Nations Creative and Workforce Diversity & Inclusion. Annisha has over five years’ experience helping large British institutions create strategies to help promote inclusivity, champion diversity and address inequalities.
She’s a trustee for Sutton African and Caribbean Cultural Organisation a charity whose main aim is to support individuals integrate into their local communities, a school governor and a Race Equality Matters panellist, a UK wide initiative creating change to achieve Race Equality in workplaces.
